China-Canada Student Exchange Center is a special institution established by Wuhan University for the purpose of boosting the educational exchange and cooperation amongst Canada, The United States and China. On behalf of Wuhan University, CCSEC has built a bridge with universities both in Canada and The United States, which provides a reliable channel not only for students in Wuhan University to continue their further education in Canada and The United States but also for Canadian and American students to explore the Chinese culture and education in Wuhan University. We have created links with universities in North American by means of transferring credits, student exchange and professor exchange, in order to cultivate internationalized talents, deepen cultural appreciation and enhance the lasting friendship between Chinese people and North Americans.

Wuhan University, a 117-year-old top 10 university in China, has always occupied the leading position in the field of international education. Wuhan University has established cooperative relationships with nearly 300 universities from 40 countries, including Canada and The United States, and sends more than 1000 students or academic visitors abroad every year. Among all the countries that receive international students, Canada and The United States have two of the most advanced modern education systems in the western world, which has made them the leading destination for Chinese students who want to study overseas. What's more, such unique features as ethnical diversity and cultural integration also make these two countries more appealing to overseas students.

In recent years, many Chinese students have successfully landed their dream in universities in North America through CCSEC, who has earned an excellent reputation in the society for its multiple studying programs and advanced quality of academic input. The number of students who chose to study China-Canada Program has doubled and redoubled, making CCSEC the No.1 choice for students who would like to receive high-quality education in North America. In order to set an easier channel for the communication between Wuhan University and universities in North America, CCSEC has established Wuhan University North America Liaison Office to provide full services to students in Canada and The United States. 

Since the 1950s, Wuhan University has enrolled international students, as one of the first few institutions in China to do so. Since that time, Wuhan has accepted and trained thousands foreign students from more than 50 different countries and regions worldwide. Many students have received systematic training and have earned Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree.

Wuhan University accepts international students into its Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral programs as well as advanced programs in liberal arts, sciences, and medicine. The university also provides a Bachelor of Arts program called the Chinese Language for international students and there have been seven groups of graduates. Besides all levels of Chinese language teaching, the university provides courses such as Chinese literature, Chinese history, Chinese economy, Chinese philosophy and Chinese law for international students. To fulfill their different requirements, these courses will introduce basic knowledge of the society, economy, history and culture of China.

Presently there are up to 2000 long-term international students from 109 countries and districts studying in Wuhan University, which ranks No. 6 among universities in China. Most of our international alumni are the backbones in the field of politics, economics, culture, social construction when they went back to their own countries.
